Ambiance is surprisingly good given this is in a strip mall. Very cozy. Decorated like a living room with books and area rugs. Pleasant Italian music playing. Very clean. I ordered a sausage pepperoni and mushroom medium pizza. Service was easy and quick. Fresh ingredients maybe not up to NY standards but much better than your average California pizza

My friends met me here for dinner and I was VERY pleased and surprised. The atmosphere is very warm and chill, the service was fantastic, and the portions were generous. We had the garlic bread with cheese to start (delicious) and then I ordered the lasagna. I wanted to save half for home but just could not stop! It was absolutely delicious. We will be back!

Just discovered Pizza Amore in San Juan Capistrano this past weekend. This little cafe is adorable. When we walked in there was a gentleman playing the banjo which added to this fun atmosphere. We were lucky enough to be able to sit inside.
We ordered some Garlic Cheese Bread, which comes with a side of sauce which pleased my husband. I ordered the personal vegetable pizza and my husband ordered the personal pepperoni pizza. All our food was outstanding. We meet the owner, who is a nice man. The amount of repeat customers picking up food really says something about this cafe.

Tried this new pizza spot tonight and honestly I'm impressed. The crust had the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, the sauce tasted fresh and not overly sweet, and the toppings were generous without feeling heavy. You can tell they care about quality ingredients. Salads were great too.
The staff was welcoming and patient while we decided what to order, and the place itself felt clean and inviting. You feel you are sitting in a very cozy living room. Service was quick even though they were busy.
Definitely a great addition to the neighborhood. We'll be back soon to try more from the menu.

Pizza Amore Café was created from a lifelong passion for Italian food and a commitment to quality.
My journey began in 2013, working hands-on in Italian kitchens and learning the craft from the ground up. Although my path later led me into digital marketing, the kitchen always felt like home. In 2019, I returned to what I love most
building a restaurant rooted in care, consistency, and community.
Pizza Amore Café is a family-owned, locally operated restaurant in the heart of San Juan Capistrano. Every dish we serve is prepared with intention. Our pizza dough is made fresh every day. We prepare homemade meatballs, Italian sausage, and gyro meat in-house. We use fresh raw chicken, marinated and grilled daily, for our pastas, salads, and sandwiches.
Our team is at the heart of everything we do. Daniel, our head chef, leads the kitchen with dedication and experience. Together with Henry, Benjamin, and the rest of our team, we have grown side by side building Pizza Amore Café through teamwork, care, and shared passion.
Our goal is simple: to create a warm, welcoming place that feels like a second home
